About Me

Danica Frey is an award winning Southern California based filmmaker and production designer. She recently graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt with her Bachelor of Arts. She has written, directed, and edited multiple short films, and focuses on making stories that are fun, flashy, and suck you into the world through the production design.

Her films have screened at Humboldt International Film Festival, Lost Coast Film Festival, and New York Istanbul Short Film Festival.

She was a co-director for the 59th Annual Humboldt International Film Festival, and has volunteered as a film reviewer for the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival.

In her free time she can be found either playing the Sims 4, watching Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, or nerding out over a new hobby/craft, all of which she would credit as equally important and crucial foundations to her love of filmmaking and production design.
